SOCAR caps fuel prices in Italy; Meloni thanks Aliyev
What happened
From 28 September Italiana Petroli, which SOCAR has controlled since May, is capping petrol and diesel prices at its stations across Italy. Giorgia Meloni thanked Azerbaijan's president Ilham Aliyev and SOCAR head Rovshan Najaf for the decision in a post on X.
